Attendance at International Workshop on Advanced Plasma Processing Diagnostics & Thin Film Technology for Electronic Materials

Host Nagoya University Plasma Nanotechnology Research Center

Sungkyunkwan University Center for Advanced Plasma Surface Technology (South Korea)
Workshop Outline This conference will discuss the basics of plasma, plasma measurement technologies, and thin-film formation technologies, with the aim of the further development of plasma technology applications, It will be organized mainly by students and young researchers.
Dates July 3 (departure) to July 6 (return), 2008
Venues Sungkyunkwan University (Suwon, South Korea)
Application Criteria 1) Young researchers (aged up to around 35) who are currently affiliated with a research institution within Japan and engaged in research activities related to plasma science or its applications.

2) Must give a presentation at the International Workshop and be actively involved in organizing the relevant session.

(3 Must be interested in using the opportunity offered by participating in this workshop to apply for a long-term placement at Sungkyunkwan University.

Notes 1) During their presentation, the recipient must mention that the presentation was made possible by a grant disbursed as part of this project, and must include the sentence below in any Proceedings or other publication.

“This work was supported by the JSPS International Training Program (ITP).”

2) This program will not provide any compensation for any accident or other loss or injury during the duration of the placement. The placement student is required to take out travel insurance on his/her own behalf. (The fact that insurance has been taken out will be confirmed before departure.)

3) Participants are responsible for paying the fees required to obtain a passport and other costs such as conference attendance fees and the cost of attending receptions.

4) Participants must submit a report following the workshop.
Notification of Result Applicants will be notified of the result of the selection procedure in mid-September.
